Darwin Day, Crane-Evolution Hoedown. ["Crane, Powwow Dancer" (Part 2)]

I have previously blogged about the first second incarnation of this canvas. This piece has seen plenty of change in the last week, but it will interest you to see how this irregular piece of canvas has changed through time. [All pics click to enlarge.]

Crane, Powwow Dancer (Part 1)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The first incarnation of the canvas had three main elements: bronze turtle, large and vague drum, a disembodied human head...

Only the turtle element survived the canvas "repurposing". This is how the piece looked, at the end of previous posting (Part 1 link, above).

There was an existing horizon line, I decided to start adding some foreground.

Now, I'm adding a volcanic icecap to the background, to create more space. I elongate the vertical perspective with intervening spaces.

Adding sky, stretches the perspective range further into the background.

Most people who argue about C. Darwin and his impact on our current zeitgeist have never read his seminal book, so take some time to download and listen to the whole thing, from Librivox.Org;
