Online petition: To increase artist exhibition fees in Canada

I don't get any such fees, myself. But, it would be nice to have them brought up to a respectable level for when I do.

So, out of curiosity, what types of fees do you usually garner for your exhibitions?

I assume it varies by the venue, but do you ever encounter fair exhibition fees? What do the exhibition centers/museums raise for themselves with door entry fees compared to what is given to the artists for their exhibitions?

I've never shown my work, so I just don't have a clue!

do you really need more free money in canadia? if now one is buying the art, perhaps you should consider finding gainful employment you artfag! cultural question:do the guys from "trailer park boys" recieve subsidies from the government of canadia? if so, i think your queen should cut you a check (or at least a beer store gift certificate).

JLB: I've never actually received money for an exhibition in Canadia (...yet, hopefully)and the most I ever got in the state of Minnesota was about $400.oo (US), about ten years ago. I put this petition up to boost the possibility of more artists, in general, getting paid (...more?).

Scandinavian Welfare Rat: You are not worthy to lick Bubbles' cat-poo sculptures. I think they get tax credits. How long 'til Finnadia deports your lameass? Love...Eric.

PS
That doesn't count the money I've made from sales (including the infamous "West Bank installment plan") and jobs arising from shows.
