Did ya ever see Smoke Signals? The Chris Eyre film based on a Sherman Alexie short story?
I just watched The Business of Fancydancing -written and directed by Alexie, himself- and it stars Evan Adams, who played Thomas-Builds-The-Fire in Smoke Signals. Very good Indie movie; Evan Adams is surprising in his role, at least to me, because I always see the awkward hero -ThomasB-T-F- when I think of him. Even more surprising... Evan will be, or has by now, graduated medical school.
Here's an interview with Sherman Alexie about making movies, his own way.
