Moonmask, reincarnated

I had previously used this clay model to createa a backpack puppet moonmask for a friend in Kenora and an art event to draw attention to missing Aboriginal women. Sisters in Spirit.

First coat; mostly dry.



Second coat.



Slicing the paper (after second (and a half) coat drys) to release it from the clay model.



Released.



Stitching the piece back together with staples and papier mache.



Hitting the paint.





Current incarnation; will probably change.
I will be making more copies from the clay model, as well.
