Fort Frances Canadian Bass Championship

I got the nod to go ahead with this piece two weeks ago and began by experimenting with what would have been one "hemisphere" of a bass form, but scrapped it in order to build the primary shape, "in the round". Later I will add the tail, fins and other details.

After the styrofoam blocks were arranged, I used acrylic paint to bind them together. Not a great idea; it took quite a while to dry and is not a great glue, but it works on the foam. It would have been better to do this with a single large block of foam, but the stuff is quite expensive and I'm doing this on the cheap.

Starting to saw away at the form. I'll knock the "tail bit" off, and redo it later.
Will update soon; the Bass tournament starts July 23!
The clock is ticking.
