After the styrofoam was removed and initial stapling and papier-mache was added to renew the structural integrity of the paper, I added a 2"x2" 'spar' from one side of the bass to the other; through a flap that I cut in the side. It is held in place by "gorilla glue" and one 1/4" tack (in this pic).
Tail taped on.
Tail partially papered; right gill taped on.
Right gill papered; some reinforcing papering added.
The bony part at the back of bassies' top jaw added
The pair of fins directly under the gills and the fin behind the gill added, upside down. Bottom fins tied together for stability while drying and 'parallel' appearance.
Details looking good. Must finish throwing paper tonight and start painting.
Laterz; check back soon.

It's looking great dude!
By the by, the galleries are looking fabulous (although, the beaded gallery seems to take me to the Canadian Bass page).
I want you to be my first interviewee at Brainripples, but I haven't had an opportunity to sit down and craft my questions for you just yet. Some time in the next couple weeks sound ok to you? Looks like you're busy with that big ol' fish anyhow. ;)
Have a great weekend,
JLB
